Dinosaur Bus

A shaped countdown book

Illustrated by Mel Matthews
Look inside
Children can count down from 5 to 1 and discover where all of the dinosaurs are going in this fun, bus-shaped board book, a companion to Animal Bus.

This engaging, bus-shaped board book, a companion to Animal Bus, follows the adventures of a group of dinosaurs as they take a ride on Velociraptor’s bus. The story begins with five adorable dinosaurs on the bus and follows along as they each get off at a different stop to meet up with a team, do some stretches, and more.

Readers are clued in to the dinosaurs' final destination through prompts and artwork that shows the dinosaur friends engaging in a variety of fun activities. The number of die-cut dinosaurs decreases with each turn of the page, adding to the interactivity and fun.

Helen Hughes has loved reading and writing for as long as she can remember. Now as a grownup, she feels so lucky to be able to immerse herself in the world of children’s books and call it a job! As well as books, Helen loves tree-lined roads, sea views, and feeling the sun on her skin. She is based in London, England.

Mel Matthews spent a few years as an amateur jazz musician before deciding to pursue a professional career in art and illustration. Now she creates artwork for children's books from her beach-side studio. When not drawing, she enjoys walking, weightlifting, and playing video games.
