123 Sleepy Me

A Textured Touch Counting Book

Illustrated by Gareth Lucas
Look inside
In this follow-up to 123 Fish in the Sea, young readers can touch the numbers 1 through 5 and feel a different molded plastic texture to make learning to count even more fun.

Young children can learn their numbers 1 through 5 with this innovative counting book, which features numbers made of molded plastic with different tactile textures. One little star shines above a ladybug who is getting ready for bed. The ladybug sees two more stars, and a friendly firefly sees three stars of his own and wishes everyone a good night. Readers also meet a butterfly, a baby bee, and a glow worm, all of whom see stars in the sky before they fall asleep.
Sophie Aggett lives in London and likes to spend her time reading detective stories while eating pizza piled with as many toppings as possible. She loves her job writing and editing children's books, but thinks she would be good at solving mysteries, too. When Sophie retires, she plans to open a detective agency by the sea.

Gareth Lucas is an illustrator and designer living in his hometown in Essex, England, with his wife and four children. After studying at Brighton and Central Saint Martin's Art Schools, he has worked on a variety of projects, but enjoys children's book illustration the most. When he is not working, he can be heard indulging his other love—the banjo!
