Who doesn't want Christmas to last forever? Well, the tree ornaments certainly do and they plan on escaping their storage boxes for a year-round Christmas at the North Pole! But a surprise guest disrupts their grand escape, teaching them that perhaps family is the true magic of the holiday.

The spirit of Christmas lasts all year long... unless you are an ornament, stuck in a dusty box in the closet 11 months out of the year!  This December 26th, it's gonna be different. The ornaments know of a place where they can be free to sparkle, where life is a 24-hour, 365-day Christmas buffet ...the North Pole! But when the family cat gets involved, their plan hits a snag. And soon the ornaments come to realize that togetherness is the best gift, and it can't be Christmas forever without family.
Elysa Dutton is a veteran film producer and production executive. Elysa's love of stories, picture books, and the holidays came early on. When she was growing up, her dad's spirited reading of Where the Wild Things Are was second to none. And her mom--a holiday decorating enthusiast--would transform their home into a winter wonderland, going so far as to elaborately wrap their dining room chandelier in red and green ribbons. Elysa currently lives in Los Angeles with her family, dog, and cat. The cat has finally learned to behave itself around the ornaments, but the dog still confuses them with chew toys from time to time!

Manu Montoya studied Graphic Design and Advertising in her hometown and Art Direction in Barcelona, where she currently lives. She grew up both in the city and the country and spent most of her childhood drawing, playing with plants, animals and exploring the woods. She loves working with gouache, colored pencils, ink, and digital media.
"Young readers may unpack their favorite decorations and view them in a whole new light this year....A creative Christmas caper." —Kirkus Reviews

"This well-illustrated adventure story will appeal to younger fans of Christmas." —School Library Journal

“A point of view you just don’t see much in Christmas stories....an entertaining read aloud for story time or for families with kids who are sad that the holiday is here and gone.” —Youth Services Book Review
