Color 25 amazing birds—and learn awesome facts about them!

Meet 25 birds from all over the world! This learn-through-coloring bird book for kids provides children ages 3–7 with hours of coloring fun and teaches them exciting facts about these astonishing creatures at the same time.

Your kids will find surprising and entertaining facts about both common and exotic birds: flamingos are pink because they eat lots of pink foods like shrimp; hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backward; and swans carry their young on their backs as they swim! Here’s what these birds look like, where they nest, what they eat, how many eggs they lay—even the sometimes silly names for groups of birds! Children will have fun coloring birds, learning about them, and preparing for a bird-watching adventure.

Bird Book for Kids features:

  • 50 age-appropriate illustrations, perfect for little hands.
  • Learning while having coloring fun! Kids will discover amazing facts about each bird that they can share with family and friends.
  • Bird identification: Kids can use the illustrations to identify birds in their backyard.
  • Names for groups of birds—like a flamboyance of flamingos—and the number of eggs each bird lays.
  • Bonus trading cards for kids to color and collect: one for every bird!
Katie Henries-Meisner, author of Dinosaur Book for Kids, Bug Book for Kids, Wild Animal Book for Kids, and Bird Book for Kids, is an educator-mom of two wild kids: Thalia and Harrison. Since developing a passion for education and social justice, along with a love of learning through exploration, nature, and projects, Katie continues to work in education and now lives in Napa, California. She is a lifelong lover of the written and spoken word, and sometimes talks too much. View titles by Katie Henries-Meisner
