Louie Stowell started her career writing carefully-researched books about space, Ancient Egypt, politics and science but eventually lapsed into just making stuff up. She likes writing about dragons, wizards, vampires, fairies, monsters and parallel worlds. She lives in London with her wife Karen, her dog Buffy and a creepy puppet that is probably cursed.

Dr Elly Barnes MBE is an experienced educationalist and the founder and CEO of Educate & Celebrate, a charity that empowers and supports leadership teams, boards, governors, schools and businesses to build a future of inclusion and social justice. Beginning in the UK in 2005 and spearheading the Department for Education HBT anti-bullying project, Elly went on to be voted No: 1 in The Independent on Sunday's Rainbow List 2011 for her commitment to LGBT+ in education and DIVA Activist of the Year 2018. Elly co-authored the book How to Transform Your School into an LGBT+ Friendly Place: A Practical Guide for nursery, primary and secondary teachers, released in March 2018.

Amy Phelps is an American illustrator from the Central Coast of California. They grew up visiting the local library every weekend, and has always adored picture books and other children’s media. Amy studied illustration at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. They make soft, colorful, digital illustrations that have a collage-like aesthetic with plenty of patterns and textures. They frequently pull inspiration from vintage art and fairy tales, and are drawn to stories with LGBTQIA+ themes and positive messages about mental health. Amy loves to get into a drawing mood by putting on a favorite podcast, making a cup of tea, and inviting their pet parakeet to take a nap on their shoulder.
