Animals Lost and Found

Stories of Extinction, Conservation and Survival

Illustrated by Jonathan Woodward
A beautiful ebook of extinct and endangered creatures with information on when, why, how and what we can do about it.

This beautifully illustrated ebook will shine a spotlight on animals throughout history and in the present-animals lost to extinction, animals we thought we'd lost but have found, and animals that are the focus of conservation efforts all over the world.

Animals Lost and Found gives information about extinction events and the different possible causes of extinction (natural as well as human-made), and discusses how it may relate to the world today in an easily understood way. The ebook also includes information on all the incredible work that is happening around the world to prevent any further loss of species (both flora and fauna), species that have been saved from extinction, incredible stories of uncovering species long thought to have been extinct, positive stories of reintroduction, and what we as humans are doing and can continue to do.
Jason Bittel is a science writer who has written for National Geographic, The New York Times, and New Scientist, to name a few. He mostly writes about animals and tries to teach us about the life all around us. In the process, he has sniffed sloth turds, trapped wild boars, swum with piranhas, and eaten stink bugs!

Jonathan Woodward is an award winning, double Kate Greenaway medal nominated Wildlife Illustrator, working in both cut paper and digital collage.
