She loves her job writing and editing children's books but thinks she would be good at solving mysteries, too. When Sophie retires, she plans to open a detective agency by the sea.

Rosie Butcher was born in the North of England where she grew up dreaming of illustrating children's books. She completed a BA in illustration in 2011 and now spends happy days covered in watercolors and pastels. She lives with her husband and young daughters in East Yorkshire.
