Mark Westmoquette has a PhD in astrophysics and is also an ordained Zen monk and a yoga and mindfulness teacher. He is the author of The Mindful Universe, Mindful Thoughts for Stargazers and Zen and the Art of Dealing with Difficult People. This is Mark's first children's book, inspired by trying to describe the wonder of the universe to his own son.

Kiki Kita is a Brooklyn-based illustrator who grew up in Nagoya, Japan and Dallas, Texas. She studied illustration and art history at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Kiki has a strong background in traditional mediums such as watercolor, oil and acrylic painting, though these days her work is primarily done digitally. Her work has been recognized by American Illustration and Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles.
