Developed by a middle school math teacher, this Choose Your Own Adventure workbook gives kids a fun and engaging way to learn one Algebra I unit! The Dregg Disaster is an original and cleverly designed interactive story that is perfect for helping readers and young math whizzes interpret data displays, solve equations and proportions, and use polynomials commonly taught at the 7th and 8th grade level.

All four chapters include “Adventurer’s Advice” to help students navigate their way through the workbook. The workbook also includes a free online download with more algebra problems for extra practice.
Chris Matthews is a middle-school math teacher from Spokane (Washington), but right now he teaches 7th and 8th grade math in Bucaramanga (Colombia). He loves working with students and creating games that encourage mathematical exploration. When he is not teaching or writing, Chris spends time riding his bike and watching bad movies.Chris has been teaching math for ten years, and he earned his Masters in Education in 2020. He is also a proud alumnus of Bike & Build, Americorps NCCC, WWU and Camp Reed. The Dregg Disaster is his first book.
