Amaranta Leyva es dramaturga, narradora, actriz y titiritera enfocada al público infantil desde hace 20 años. Es directora del Centro Cultural La Titería, de Marionetas de la Esquina. Ha participado en 25 montajes y ha escrito 15 textos dramáticos. Sus obras han sido vistas en México y en el extranjero en teatros como el Kennedy Arts Center, Arsh Center Miami, Chicago Humanities Festival, Sergestrom Center Ca, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Festival Internacional Cervantino, Festival del Centro Histórico, Teatro Escolar INBA-SEP. Ha publicado en México, España y Alemania, y tres textos suyos forman parte del Programa Nacional de Lecturas de la SEP. Entre sus obras se encuentran Mía, El vestido, Dibújame una vaca, El cielo de los perros y El intruso.
