My Best Me: Body Brave

Body Brave is a powerful celebration of everybody—big, small, tall, short, round, strong, soft, and everything in between. In this uplifting picture book, kids learn that their body is good just the way it is.

With kindness, honesty, and encouragement, Jelani Memory invites kids to embrace how they’re built—their shape, size, height, and shade—and love themselves fully. Even when the world tries to put them down, they can stand tall and proud.

Designed for ages 3–6, this book uses simple, empowering language and bold, joyful visuals to help kids build confidence and celebrate body diversity in themselves and others.
Jelani Memory (he/him) is an African American entrepreneur, thinker, and constant learner. He lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife and 6 kids. He still wants to be an artist when he grows up. View titles by Jelani Memory
