National Geographic Kids Mission: Animal Rescue is a dynamic series that taps into kids’ interest in animals and their passion for saving them. In each book, kids discover true stories about animals and the challenges they face, reports and tips from National Geographic explorers in the field, and hands-on activities and rescue challenges for kids who want to help make a difference.
DANIEL RAVEN-ELLISON is a National Geographic Emerging Explorer and guerilla geographer. His work focuses on nurturing playful exploration, education, and geography through teaching, experimenting, writing, social media, gaming, and more. He's a lead partner in The Geography Collective, a group of about 25 educators and geographers who produce books, websites, events, explorations to inspire kids about the world around them. He's also one of the creators behind the Geography Collective's Mission:Explore, an online game and site for children to explore and learn about their world.

ASHLEE BROWN BLEWETT is a nonfiction writer specializing in science, natural history, and exploration. In addition to writing and researching for National Geographic Children's Books, Ashlee has collaborated with countless National Geographic grantees and explorers to develop television series and specials about their work. A curious person by nature, she hopes to inspire others to investigate and appreciate the natural world around them. This is her second book for National Geographic; her first was Mission: Lion Rescue.
