Price Stern Sloan was founded in Los Angeles in the early 1960s by comedy writers Roger Price and Leonard Stern. Their idea for Mad Libs was concocted while working for Steve Allen’s Tonight Show and has since become a cultural fixture.

PSS! continues in the tradition of innovative publishing, creating  fun and engaging books in a variety of formats. The imprint publishes over 70 titles a year, including board books, doodle books, activity books, novelty titles, and of course, the classic Mad Libs.
