Marlena Zapf

Marlena Zapf likes to tell stories on the page and on the stage. She has been a book editor, a children’s theater performer, and every June she dons her mermaid tail and marches in the Coney Island Mermaid Parade. She received her master’s degree in children’s literature from Simmons College, where she was named the Virginia Haviland Scholar. When not writing, her favorite thing to do is dance like nobody’s watching. She lives in North Andover, Massachusetts.
