Rukhsana Khan

RUKHSANA KHAN is an award-winning author and storyteller. She was born in Lahore, Pakistan and immigrated to Canada at the age of three. 
As a Muslim kid living in a small town, she was bullied. She says that books helped her survive.

Rukhsana has more than fifteen books published and more on the way. In 2013, her picture book BIG RED LOLLIPOP was chosen by the New York Public Library as one of the 100 greatest children’s books in the last 100 years. She has appeared on television, radio and been featured at festivals around the world.

Rukhsana lives in Toronto with her husband and family.

DEBBY RAHMALIA is an illustrator and storyteller based in Indonesia. She graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology, where she earned a Bachelor of Interior Design degree. Debby’s long term dream was to become an illustrator. She was encouraged to pursue her dream after she had her first baby and has been illustrating ever since. One of her dreams is to share the books she illustrates with her child and to enjoy them together.
