Choose Your Own Adventure books–the 4th bestselling children’s series of all time–are back and as much fun as you remember. Kids and adults agree, these are the books that get 9- to 12-year-olds reading.

YOU can't help but think that the new girl in town looks an awful lot like your old penpal Sam, but something’s wrong. Sam was from New Orleans and disappeared after Hurricane Katrina, and this new girl is … odd. Do you accept your teacher’s invitation to witness a scientific breakthrough? Or do you call in the Marines? What secrets is your gym teacher hiding, and since when do zombies drive? Be careful, the choices YOU make might end in glory, disaster, or certain death.
Ken McMurtry was born in Oklahoma. He attended colleges in California, Iowa, and Vermont. He has written several young adult adventure novels and two non-fiction books. Ken loves reading, telling stories, traveling, and spending time with his family. In the past he and his family have lived in Ireland, Spain, Italy, and Greece. When not imagining exciting adventures, Ken likes to cook, watch sporting events, exercise, and take power naps. He now lives in Vermont with his wife Polly and their two lovely goat girls Phoebe and Persephone.
