Travel around the world in this interactive book where YOU decide what happens next! Packed with 39 possible endings!

Choose Your Own Adventure books–the 4th bestselling children’s series of all time–are back and as much fun as you remember. Kids and adults agree, these are the books that get 9- to 12-year-olds reading.

One of the bestselling titles from the original Choose Your Own Adventure series, By Balloon to the Sahara is among the craziest page-turning adventures in the series.

YOU and your friends are piloting a hot air balloon when a deadly storm hits. Will you let some air out of the balloon to drift safely down? Or would you rather power through the night and hope for the best? Brave extreme peril as you take your balloon through lands exotic, unknown, and fantastic. Be careful, the choices YOU make might end in glory, disaster, or certain death.
D. Terman was educated at Cornell and Columbia Universities, then flew in Air Force night interceptor and bomber squadrons, and went on to become a missile launch crew commander. In 1963 he sailed his schooner to the West Indies, and for the next twelve years cruised extensively in European and Caribbean waters. Mr. Terman moved to the Green Mountains of Vermont and worked as a novelist for many years. He made this early contribution to the Choose Your Own Adventure series and also penned novels of political intrigue and adventure for adults, including First Strike, Free Flight, Shell Game, Cormorant, and several others. Mr. Terman inspired his wife, Seddon Johnson, to write two Choose Your Own Adventure titles. He passed away in 1999.
