A sparkling tribute to family and forgiveness in this celebration of the Thai New Year!
Tida can hardly contain her excitement: it's Songkran Day! She waits patiently all year long to celebrate the Thai New Year, when she finally gets to cook a special meal with her family, visit the temple, and join in the countrywide water fest. All of her favorite activities! Except in her excitement, she keeps making mistakes . . . until she trips and spills satay sauce on her sister's special sabai she was going to wear to perform at the festival.
Luckily for Tida, the new year is a time of forgiveness and washing away the past year. With a deep breath, and guidance from her family, she learns how to slow down and make this the sweetest new year possible!
Dow Phumiruk is a retired pediatrician who now works as a children’s book author and illustrator.
