Books for LGBTQ+ Pride Month

By Luis Diaz | June 7 2022 | General

In June we celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month, which honors the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan.

Pride Month is a time to both celebrate the accomplishments of those in the LGBTQ+ community and also recognize the ongoing struggles faced by many across the world who wish to live as their most authentic selves.

To honor this community, here is a selection of titles that we encourage you to share with your students: LGBTQIA+ Elementary Titles

We proudly amplify these authors during Pride Month and all year long as we invite readers to discover their stories. To uplift LGBTQ+ youth and help ensure they get the chance to write their own stories, Penguin Random House is donating 15% of PRH.com net proceeds in June 2022 to The Trevor Project, LGBTQ Saves, and the Zebra Coalition (up to $30K Total).
