Kate Francis is an Austin, Texas–based illustrator with more than 20 years of experience in the publishing industry. Originally a graphic designer and art director for ReadyMade magazine and Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, she got her start drawing instructional how-tos and other infographics for accompanying stories. That passion for clarity through visual explanation led to a career creating technical illustrations with a touch of humor when possible.
