    This Little Golden Book for all ages is based on the epic animated series from the 1990's, Disney Gargoyles!

    One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness. It was a world of fear. It was the age of Gargoyles. Stone by day, warriors by night, we were betrayed by the humans we had sworn to protect, frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. Now, here in Manhattan, the spell is broken, and we live again! We are defenders of the night! We are Gargoyles!

    This Little Golden Book introduces readers to Goliath, Demona, Brooklyn, Lexington, Broadway, and all of the heroes and villains from the action-packed Disney Gargoyles animated series from the 1990's.
    Matthew J. Gilbert has written storybooks, chapter books, and graphic novels. He used to live in NYC, but currently resides in far-too-sunny California with his wife and loyal cat sidekick, Pepe.

    Greg Weisman’s career in television and comic books spans decades. After starting as an editor for DC Comics, where he also wrote Captain Atom, he created and developed Disney’s original series Gargoyles, later writing the Gargoyles and Gargoyles: Bad Guys comic books for SLG Publishing. He has worked as a writer, producer, story editor, and voice actor on Sony’s The Spectacular Spider-Man and Warner Bros.’s Young Justice, and as a writer and executive producer on the first season of Star Wars Rebels. His comic book writing credits include DC’s Young Justice, Star Wars: Kanan, and Marvel’s Starbrand and Nightmask. Weisman also wrote the original novels Rain of the Ghosts and Spirits of Ash and Foam, as well as the World of Warcroft novels World of Warcraft: Traveler and World of Warcraft: Traveler: The Spiral Path. He is blessed to have an amazing wife and two fantastic (grownup) kids. View titles by Greg Weisman
